Refund policy

At By Tae, every item is carefully handmade and quality checked before being shipped. We want you to be happy with your purchase and will do our best to assist if there is a problem with your order.

Returns

Due to the handmade and personal nature of our products, we do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind purchases
  • Incorrect product selection by the customer
  • Custom or personalized items
  • Used, damaged, or altered products

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

To process your claim, please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging
  • A description of the issue

Once reviewed, we will offer one of the following:

  • A replacement product
  • Store credit
  • A refund, where applicable

Refunds

Refunds will only be considered for:

  • Products that arrive damaged due to manufacturing defects
  • Incorrect items sent by us
  • Orders that cannot be fulfilled due to stock availability

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error was made by us.

Handmade Products

As our candles, décor items, and children's products are handmade, slight variations in color, finish, fragrance, weight, or appearance may occur. These variations are not considered defects and make each item unique.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of payment, provided production has not yet started.

Custom and personalized orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.
